Artsakh: Recollections of Home reflects the memories that shape my sense of home: a home that once was but is now beyond reach. No matter how distant, I confront displacement and dream of returning to the soil that raised me. I create to remember, entering familiar spaces repeatedly to hold them still. The search for memory is one that has no end; every sight, sound, gesture, image, texture, and mark becomes a possibility of home. My art is, therefore, an attempt to resist the erosion of where I belong.
